除了掛上聖誕花圈,今年也試試擺上蠟燭的降臨花圈吧!!!

  In ancient Rome, people used decorative wreaths as a sign of victory. Some believe that this is where the hanging of wreaths on doors came from.

 古羅馬時代，人們常用花圈來代表勝利。有些人相信這也是為什麼人們會在門上掛聖誕花圈的來源。 

   There are two kinds of wreaths , one is Chiristmas wreath and the other is Advent wreath. Most of us know the Chiristmas wreath  and now we're going to talk about the Advent wreath.

 現在所說的花圈有兩種，一種是聖誕花圈（Chiristmas wreath），另一種是降臨花圈（Advent wreath）。大部分的人都知道掛在牆上或門上的聖誕花圈，現在我們也來看看另一種放在桌上的聖誕環。

    Traditionally, the  Advent wreath is made of four candles in a circle of evergreens with a fifth candle in the middle. 

傳統上，降臨花圈是以植物和四個主要的蠟燭組成，兩兩主要蠟燭中還有五根白色的小蠟燭。  

    Each day at home, the candles are lighted, perhaps before the evening meal-- one candle the first week, and then another each succeeding week until December 25th. 

從12月第一週的每一天開始都會點燃一根蠟燭，直到12月25日為止。

   A short prayer may accompany the lighting of each candle. The last candle is the middle candle. The lighting of this candle takes place on Christmas Eve.

點蠟燭前可能會有一個簡短的禱告，最後一根蠟燭在平安夜當晚被點燃。
